Young is tabbed as Topeka coach
Topeka, KS- Topeka Capitals conducted a search for there head coach for the 2026 and they have selected assistant coach from Bethany College Dakota Young to lead this young baseball program on the field in 2026. Young is from Lakewood, California and has served with the Bethany College program since 2019 as recruiting coordinator, outfield coaches and base coach with the Swedes. He also coached with Iowa Lakes Community program prior to coming to Bethany in 2019. HE also played at NJCAA Division 2 with Des Moines Area Community College and played professionally at Paris Universite Club.

Topeka will open the season May 30 in Gering, Nebraska vs Western Nebraska Pioneers before making the trip to Fort Morgan, Colorado for a pair of game vs Fort Morgan Wranglers of the Front Range League and will return to Topeka to opening series with Elkhart Broomcorns in MCBL play
